For over 15 years, we've shown up for Harlem — providing healthy food, dignity, and community to families in need.
Fifteen years ago, I made a promise — to show up for Harlem.
Harlem has always held a very special place in my heart. But beyond any one neighborhood, what I am truly dedicated to is ensuring access to healthy food and making sure no one goes hungry. Food is the most basic human need, and every family deserves fresh, nourishing meals and the dignity that comes with being cared for.
What began as a small Thanksgiving giveback has grown into a powerful annual tradition serving hundreds of families at the Harlem Polo Grounds Community Center. This has never been about a single day. It's about consistency, connection, and community — showing up year after year for the people who make this neighborhood what it is: resilient, proud, and full of heart.
This drive represents everything I believe in: taking care of one another, honoring our communities, and building something that lasts. This is not just an event. It is a commitment. And it is a legacy I am proud to carry forward for my lifetime — and for generations to come.
— Jaclyn Rosenberg, Founder, SocietyX
Each year, we host a full community Thanksgiving experience that includes:
Distribution of turkeys and complete holiday meal packages
Bags of fresh produce and grocery staples
Hot seated Thanksgiving meals for families
Volunteer-led service and community support
Wellness programming and joyful experiences for children and parents
This is not just a food drive — it is a day of nourishment, warmth, and togetherness.
The cost to support one family is $40
Every dollar raised goes directly toward food, supplies, logistics, and creating a dignified, beautiful holiday experience.

Fundraising Goal
For many families we serve, this meal represents more than food — it is warmth, connection, and dignity.
I have family in this community. I've seen firsthand how hard people work, how much they give, and how often they go without recognition or resources. Despite challenges — broken elevators, rising costs, limited access — this community shows up with pride and strength every single year.
And so do we.
Because that's what commitment looks like.
